‘Be the Next Bob’ & Be the ‘Go iPave Bob’ Photo Contest

During the summer of 2014 I was scrolling through Facebook and posting updates for Go iLawn and Go iPave when I noticed we were tagged in a post by Turfscape, Inc. Turfscape’s sales and marketing coordinator Jodi Reimer posted a photo of estimator Bob Martin teaching their summer intern how to measure properties for landscape estimates on Go iLawn.

This post not only made my day because I love seeing our customers getting great use out of the product AND teaching the next generation about this awesome technology, but it also helped me come up with our 2015 Go iLawn ad concept.

What better way to demonstrate the benefits of measuring properties online with Go iLawn and Go iPave than to feature actual landscape and pavement maintenance contractors using our tools and getting results?

When it was time to work on our new ads, I contacted Jodi and Bob and asked if they would be willing to lend us Bob’s ‘likeness’ so we could feature him in our ads. To our delight, Bob agreed and soon after Jodi sent me some photos of Bob using (and showing his love for) Go iLawn. And I have to tell you, it turned out to be a really great experience. Bob and Jodi were great to work with and they made it so fun.

Out of all the photos Bob and Jodi sent over to me, it was tough to pick a winner. But after much deliberation I made my decision, and I think it turned out great in our ads:

Here are some ideas for your photos:

• Take a photo sitting in front of the screen with a property diagram from Go iLawn or Go iPave in plain sight- just like Bob.
• Have someone take a photo of you using your Go iLawn or Go iPave site diagram to discuss a property with a client. This can be a printout or on a mobile device, as long as the property diagram is visible.
• Have someone take a photo of you using your Go iLawn or Go iPave site diagram to discuss a property with your team. This too can be a printout, on a computer screen or television screen, or on a mobile device, as long as the property diagram is visible.
